Greeks berate PM Papandreou

It's all quiet on the streets of Athens.
But this calm belies the anger felt by citizens in this crisis-ridden EU state.
(SOUNDBITE) (Greek) VANGELIS PIRINIS, TAXI DRIVER, SAYING:
"Elections, always elections, only elections. What is going on now is psychotic. It's a disgrace. Everyone everywhere is saying he has lost it, he is ruthless, he has to go so we can all calm down, find our calm, mentally at least, so we can start being more productive, to start investing, spending, because Greeks do have money, at least to get things moving again. It's a disgrace."
Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou faces a no-confidence vote in parliament on Friday as he seeks popular support for yet another tranche of EU borrowing.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) ZISIS PAPANDREOU, 39, BUSINESSMAN SAYING:
"I think that the better solution for the Greek people is that the prime minister is to decide to leave the political system and let other personalities to help find a way to get the sixth debt and then go for elections and make a new government to negotiate about what we can do in the future.''
The beleaguered government needs only one more defection to lose its parliamentary majority and likely trigger an election.
