Description

Mirror before me,
My reflection is insane,
Obsessed with my appearance,
My eyes are vain.
I cannot escape the urge,
To sneak a peek,
A peek of myself,
O, resistance is weak.
How did I become obsessed with myself?
Plagued with vanity in my eyes?
Forced to check my appearance,
Vanity, the curse I most despise.
I’m a prisoner to my reflection,
My soul trapped in insanity,
Should I shatter the mirror,
Ridding myself of my vanity?
Freedom from my eyes,
I have no nothing to spy my reflection,
Except the pieces of shattered mirror,
Reflecting back my personal affection,
Since I cannot destroy every mirrored reflection,
Should I pluck my eyes and deal with the pain?
A much humbler solution to my affection,
Than the burden of being vain.
