16 Views • Apr 06, 2012
Description
One of the big challenges in mission-critical database applications is modernizing legacy solutions. When a major Canadian bank needed to modernized its data center architecture to reduce system outages, they turned to Gravic to develop a solution. Gravic helped the bank move from an "active/backup" to an "active/active" network by combining NonStop server and the Gravic Shadowbase product suite. Gravic are already known as innovators in the bi-directional replication space and created a BASE24 replication solution allowing the bank to meet their goals. This implementation resulted in Gravic winning the Mission-Critical Data award at the Mission-Critical Innovation Awards held in Vienna, Austria just prior to HP Discover. Here LockerGnome's Jake Ludington talks with William Holenstein of Gravic about their winning solution.
