GPs welcome the boost for bulk-billing incentives

One of the government's big-ticket items in last night's budget was a tripling of the incentive paid to doctors who bulk-bill certain patients. The change will benefit eligible people aged under 16, pensioners, and Commonwealth concession card holders and work by offering more financial incentives to GPs who bulk-bill those patients to make their consultations free.
