Papa why'd you have to go
Papa why'd you have to leave me alone
You know i can't face this world on my own

Papa i need you by my side
I need someone to hold me tight
without you i can't survive this crazy ride
I need you there with me through the longest of nights

Every night i pray for a day
just one day when you were with me to stay
you could wash away all of my pain
and put a smile on my face

Papa you know i miss you each and everyday
but you've seen enough cruelty and hate
I'm glad you don't have to go through anymore pain
So till i see you in heaven some day
Just remember, in my heart you will always have a place
