Govt will amend US draft: Chidambaram

Even as DMK ministers are set to tender their resignations to the Prime Minister today, the Government has reiterated that it intends to move amendments to the US draft resolution on Sri Lanka. Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Parliamentary Affairs minister told the media that the Government is still not aware as to why DMK changed its stand. However, they claimed that parties are divided on Lanka stand and a consensus is being worked for a Parliament resolution.
