Govt mulls letting Lynas keep cracking and leaching facility

Science, Technology, and Innovation (Mosti) Minister Dr Adham Baba confirmed his ministry has received an application from Australian mining company Lynas to review key conditions in their operating licence.
The conditions, set by the Pakatan Harapan government, were to move its cracking and leaching facility, which produces radioactive Water Leach Purification (WLP) residue, outside Malaysia before July 2023.
