Govt drafting Bill to boost cross-border e-commerce oversight
Description
A new e-commerce Bill will give authorities greater oversight of cross-border online transactions and tighter control over digital marketplace operators.
Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh told the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Oct 28) that the proposed law would allow the ministry to address issues such as platform commissions and foreign business practices.
