Govt agencies actively investigating corruption
Description
When tabling Budget 2023 at the Dewan Rakyat on Friday, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said all government agencies including Inland Revenue Board, Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission and Police Force are actively investigating corruption and include the names connected to the Pandora Papers and anything else.
Anwar said the Inland Revenue Board will also continue to investigate extraordinary wealth in a bid to fight corruption crimes before it is allowed to fester.
He also said flood mitigation projects worth RM15bil and Jana Wibawa projects under RM7bil awarded through direct negotiations have been scrapped.
