GOV’T MOVES TOWARD ELECTRONIC PASSPORTS

Amid the ongoing turmoil within the Immigration department, the T&T Government is moving a step closer to introducing electronic passports. The Ministry of Homeland Security has issued an Expression of Interest for companies to upgrade the country's passport issuing and control system from the current machine-readable passports to a modern e-passport platform.
