Gold dropped 2.8% to $4,682/oz and silver plunged 5.3% to $71.38 as the Iran war and inflation fears triggered a broad commodity sell-off. Mining stocks led losses — ProShares Ultra Silver ETF fell 11.8%, Teck Resources dropped 7%, while First Majestic Silver and Coeur Mining each declined ~6%. European mining shares fell 4.5%.
