Description

See how GOCE will be launched into space by a Rockot vehicle from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Russia. GOCE will be injected into a near-circular polar orbit at an altitude of about 280 km, from where the satellite will fall gradually to its operational altitude of around 260 km, travelling at about 8 km a second!
