Glitter snared in Savile probe

Former pop star Gary Glitter was arrested on Sunday as part of the widening police investigation into the late Jimmy Savile.

Now 68, Glitter was picked up on suspicion of sexual offences. His is the first arrest following the exposure of BBC presenter Savile, who died last year, as a serial child abuser.
