Description

sonnet)

It's night and whitened blossoms start to fall
and strum the surface of these star-lit pools.
The moon recruits a lute from music hall
of water. Shore with silver reeds and fool's
wide, lunar touch whisper to lull willow
and flute melody nearly silently.
Petals unrecalled fall to wet pillow;
and tree forgets, bereft non-violently.
So Spring appears like Autumn's pull on leaf
that dirged the Summer's music down with Fall-
Released with moon-ghost motion weeps no grief
in seasonal, strategical withdrawal.
The blossoms seem old tunes of leaves that flew;
each bloom soon dies in symphony anew.

It's night and still woodland has one leaf fall
and strums the surface of some star-lit pool.
The moon recruits a lute from music hall
of water. With shore's silver reed, this fool
of tuneful lunacy stalks lank willow
and flutes a melody near silently.
The leaf, no tree recalls, falls- wet pillow.
and tree forgets bereft non-violently.
For downward is the pull on flame-lit leaf
And gone is Eden’s pride and now the Fall.
Released with moon-ghost motion knows no grief:
All’s seasonal, strategical withdrawal;
For nothing leaves with leaves. Again what’s been
Will be. A leaf swoons. In spring tree is green.
