Gilad Shalit Facebook application

A new facebook application is giving people the opportunity to experience life like Gilad Shalit. The application even lets users relive the moment Shalit was captured by Hamas and gives a virtual experience of living in his cell. The application shows the world from Shalit's view. Users can exchange places with Shalit and experience captivity. The designers acknowledge that the experience is made with effects and film and is not based on reality but may give people an increased awareness of Shalit's situation. Gilad Shalit was kidnapped by Hamas in the summer of 2006 over 4 years ago.
