Jaafar Taib, the founder of Gila Gila magazine, is a Malaysian phenomenon.

A cartoonist with a flair for business, Jaafar established and heads broadcasting company Creative Enterprise Sdn Bhd, which manages a stable of talented local artists in the media and in the art scene.

Jaafar’s own natural talent in art is manifest in his paintings, including of human and animal figures, as well as artworks that incorporate elements of culture
