Giamatti promotes Barney's version in Haifa

Actor Paul Giamatti and Producer Robert Lantos have appeared at the Haifa International Film Festival promoting their new film 'Barney's Version.' After being in development for 12 years the film based on the novel be Mordechai Richler is about an English-speaking Jew from Montreal, going from struggling friend of artists in Paris to rich TV producer back in Quebec. It stars Giamatti as Barney with Dustin Hoffman who plays Barney's father. Giamatti was made very welcome at the festival held during the Sukkot holiday in Haifa. Earlier this year, Dustin Hoffman did not make a scheduled trip to the Jerusalem Film Festival following the flotilla affair in May.
