Ghosting, an increasingly common practice in the workplace

Until now, ghosting has been a fairly common phenomenon in romantic relationships and was characterized by the absence of communication (no response to calls, messages...).
But now, "ghosting" (very popular with the under 35s) is also practiced in professional life!
When recruiting, most candidates remain silent: they are "ghosted" by the company.
Most often, recruiters adopt this attitude when faced with the difficulty of justifying a rejection of an application, due to lack of professional awareness, lack of time or their perception of priorities.

And when a candidate is lucky enough to get a (negative) response, it is often an automated message.
But this indifference also translates into of the candidates towards the recruiters.
85% of employers say they have already been "ghosted" according to job search engine Indeed and in 22% of cases, this occurred after an offer was accepted.
In general, the person reacts this way because they have received a more attractive offer or because they realized that the job and/or the salary did not correspond to her expectations.
Finally, "ghosting" is a practice that is becoming more and more frequent after a job abandonment.
