Some men imported enough illegal
As they call it, substance
To supply a whole country.
They brought it in by sea
And had it delivered
To various distributors for gain.

These distributors were picked up
After carefully making transactions
With these mysterious men-of-power
For a period of grace and prosperity.
Only to be locked in a cage
Or, resting in pieces.

Blown to confetti
And celebration by those same
Men of legality and justice.
Only to be democratically republicized
In a box playing the role of a donkey.
In a 40-acre pasture
With none of the contracted earnings.
In a Bush, owing a Bill stamped, PLAYED IN FULL.
