Maybe for far too long
I have been flabbergasted
by your sweet innocence,
by the realization
that you truly loved me once.

Maybe for far too long
I have been missing your kisses,
your tender embraces
while hoping and longing
to have you back.

The untamed growing of the flowers,
the roses, carnations, irises,
jasmine and lavender
of your fragrant garden
have been bewitching me.

Maybe it is time
for you to really love me,
for us to make a new garden together,
to plant memories
while spring is turning into summer?
