Acceptance by spouses
of husbands who’re louses
and deemed pestilential
is often essential.

A spouse needs a louse
like a cat needs a mouse,
but squares become cubic
when pussy is pubic.

Though lawyers may fight them
and DA's indict them,
the plague on most houses
is caused by the spouses.

It seems to defy sense
that marriage by license
requires a permit,
that why I’m a hermit.
