Germany: Islamophobic demonstrations decline in number

Anti-Muslim demonstrations held yesterday in Dresden saw their numbers decline, after the leader of PEGIDA, the anti-Islamic, anti-immigrant group that organized the protests, Lutz Bachmann, was shown in a photograph posing as Adolf Hitler. Nevertheless, 17,000 turned out for the PEGIDA event, with 5,000 pro-immigration, anti-racist counter-demonstrators on hand as well. teleSUR
