German bridge blown up for highway construction

A footbridge on Germany’s Autobahn near Stuttgart was demolished in the early hours of Saturday morning to make way for a new stretch of highway with extra driving lanes.

Autobahn traffic was blocked off so the “Red Steigle” bridge could be blown up, resulting in a massive plume of smoke.
