Geovanni Leaño - Two Months Ago

I walk in silence,
Not even hearing my footsteps,
Walking in a cold dark path,
I walk in the midst of winter,
So lonely,
Not even a flower grew along the path,
I carry this burden so heavy,
Full of sorrow, full of hatred, full of lies.

Little by little I lose hope,
My body is weakening,
Until i dropp lying on the cold ground, thinking
That this is the end of my life full of lies.

I opened my eyes and saw a notebook,
'As if it will really help me! ' I cried.
As i open the notebook,
I saw three poems and read it,
The poems in some way seems to show how i feel,
And how i created my own darkness and now living it,
And because of this event,
it lead me closer to a girl,
It's funny how simple things could save me from darkness,
Because of a notebook I met a girl,
A girl who made me realize many things,
Who taught me that in some way it's good to walk in silence,
For it gives me a chance to listen to my heart,
In some way I feel blessed to walk through a cold path,
For it makes me appreciate the way this girl keeps me warm,
That it's normal to carry pain inside of us,
For it helps us become strong and be a better man,
Now i'll take back my words,
'This notebook really helped me! ' I said deep inside,
Like a firefly who so little but still can turn my darkness into a simple, calm and beautiful one,
There are things that happens or we now have that we take for granted,
like those simple things, the stars and the fireflies who let me see the true beauty of darkness.
