George Hunter - Tall

There was this dude named McCall
Who was very, very tall.
It doesn’t worry him yet
It’s a good thing, you bet
Because he likes to play basketball.
He’s in a good position
Over the opposition
Because he’s able to dunk, and all
And his salary’s not so small.
In fact he makes much more pay
Than those who work hard all day
But this much he has to say:

I draw a good crowd
And have all of them wowed
And I’m certainly worth my pay
It’s not trigonomics
It’s just economics
To drag in my fans this way
They pay a good fee
Just to see me
And I really make their day.

So don’t worry about the mon
I’m just having my day in the sun
Soon I’ll be too old to shoot
And they’ll give me the boot
And that won’t be too much fun.

So I’ll try not to despair
And try to do what’s fair
Then I’ll retire
And maybe aspire
To announce games on the air.
