George Hunter - Cops

This cop was a young galoot
Who never learned how to shoot.
—His pard said one day
—This never will play
They're going to give you the boot.

So they took him out to the farm
Where he could do no harm.
—He learned to use mace
—And they shot up the place
Til he loved that old firearm.

Since his shooting was now so fine
I bought him a new Glock 9
—Don't want you to crackup
—When I need you for backup
And my life is on the line.

Playing cops is a dangerous game
But to me it's all the same.
—But I won't go mad
—When we meet up with the bad
Knowing I can depend on his aim.
