Geoff Warden - Upon Still Waters!

Deep in the heart of Simcoe lake,
upon waters mirroring reflective views,
a single boat cuts the mirror glass,
like the cutter the jeweler would use.

And in this boat, two sail away,
in search of an island off the shore,
the thoughts of picnic's vast array,
and afternoon's feast of evermore.

Whilst upon this boat of small mass,
the two did see the falcons fly,
and nest upon the whisking winds,
in graceful motion climbing so high

The ever movement mimics swans dance,
and the moment brings sweet caress,
the clear blue day of summers delight,
is in need of a sandy beach's rest...............
