Genevieve Pilat - Something Blue
76 Views • Jun 12, 2014
Description
Is a time of treasured bliss
A thing she dreamed of as a girl
Nothing would be better than this.
She follows tradition from beginning to end
Superstitions whether false or true
She must have something that’s old and new
Something borrowed and something blue.
For something new she has her gown
That’s pure white as the snow
A simple find so elegant
Showcasing her wedding glow.
An ancestry necklace made of pearls
Are given for something old
Passed down from generation of happy brides
The wedding stories they have told.
Her bridesmaids offer a small hair piece
Something that she can borrow
True friends they are, how sweet and kind
Will always be there tomorrow.
Now the last thing needed is the great challenge
Yet here there are no fears
For the groom provides in his breakup letter
Something blue to her eyes: her tears.
