Geetha Jayakumar - Experiment with Flute!
0 Views • Oct 29, 2014
Description
He went on playing
In early morning hours.
Old melodies
Which were the best
his flute played over and again.
But none appreciate him either.
As it was the routine
For the flute seller he was.
I just stood listening to it
When ever he went passing by.
On one fine evening
He stood in crowded place
Playing his flute.
I too got tempted to buy one.
I tried playing there itself.
I said my flute not playing
Like your flute
So would you change with
Another one like yours.
He said laughingly
You have to keep your
Fingers on and off, on the holes in flute
I too tried with my heart....
But one long sound heard
So harsh like slapping someone.
Then I saw few people
Looking and laughing in mockery style
For I felt too embarrassed
I told him shyly I will practice
It at home and took the flute
And returned home!
Well it was a wonderful experience
Rather an experiment with flute!
