GDC 2011 - 3dvia's Augmented Reality Gaming Platform
Description
http://www.tweaktown.com A video of two people trying out 3dvia's Augmented Reality promotion on a French cereal box. The user holds up the cereal box to a webcam to see an interactive "plinko" style game, involving collecting tiny white orbs to jettison the sprite character out of the box. The experience was created using 3dvia's open 3D gaming platform, which also created the Facebook game "Billions". Gameplay of "Billions", built in the 3dvia open 3D gaming platform and available on Facebook and extremely addictive. Billions is a browser based game, and developers are free to download the 3dvia source code and create new and unique levels. Distributed by Tubemogul.
