An excuse by the name of death
Like lover's bite, a day shall come
With heaven’s music, a scented wreath
The lord shall welcome me back home.


Of dust specks, blood cold and dry
Mother earth shall do the honours
'His mysterious ways', the preist shall cry
As my soul heads to be one with the father's.


For a million years, I have wandered
Following that scent, that temptation
For a million years, my soul has laboured
To search the truth that ends all confliction.


And today as I stand with the truth,
Tears of infinite joy from my eyes fall
And yes, I can see the door to eternal youth
Not far is my name scripted in His roll call.
