Gas Plant Trail

Taipei is one of the top cities in Asia for offroad mountain biking. Though most of the stellar trails lie on the perimeter of the city, The Gas Plant Trail sits in the middle. A popular area for hikers and bikers, the Formosan Fat Tire Association has popularized the area for mountain bikers as well. A short 3 1/2 km loop, the trail takes less than an hour to ride. However, the trail packs a bigger pound-for-pound punch than any other trail in Taiwan.
