LIVING SAVIOUR

He's Alive, I remind myself
He has risen from the dead
Wrought so great salvation
He is my living Head

Ruined by sins degradation
Bound by chains and fetters
Wooed me to Him by His love
Inspired gospel letters

It is written, thus I read
He sealed it to my soul
Brought deliverance to my heart
Made this sinner whole

He takes the greatest burden
That weighs one down with sin
That has him bound in torment
Until Jesus dwells within

This is the Living Saviour
The same yesterday and today
He is the same forever
And shall be for always
