Gary Hembree - Along side the road.

Along side the road is where I'll be.
Where stray dogs bleed, I will weep.
Remember the days where I gave it my all?
Remember the days where I loved?
This is not a poem this does not rhyme.
This is my heart this is my mind.
It is not me that writes this, and nor will you understand this.
I'll walk on the streets, where stray dogs bleed.
Bottle in hand to help me sleep.
I'll weep along side the road where stray dogs bleed.
Lost and alone.
