My day started
Who knew,
Who knew it would turn out this way

Everything was flowing
It was not great, not even ok
But it was keeping me going

Each day was a challenge
Each day ended and I prayed
Each day began and stayed

My day started
Not as yesterday
Not as the day before that

It started as the saddest day of my life
I didn’t want you to leave
I didn’t want you to go

We need you
We love you
I need you

But I know you are happy now
You know I wish you were still here
I know the pain was killing you
It was killing me too

Now you gone
we alone
My day started without you…
