Description

I do not beleive in prior explanations, I find them patronizing. Interpritation for all!

College Socialist
Desires and aspires to have been underprivileged,
Look deep into his caring eyes
Pupils massive and bulging.

I stroll through the park
It sits, like a museum of tranquillity
The sun flattens out my shadow;
Huge and sprawling. A stain on the grass
Making me feel less small.

And God is my security blanket
I can bury my head
And snivel and splutter.
I can dry my eyes
Then the following morning mock its validity.

I can cite many reasons for my ungrateful nature
Stick around, I’ll riff you off a list.
Who here tonight feels like dissecting themselves?
Get it all out in the name of bettering oneself.

Your shrink strokes your hair,
She straightens her Starbucks badge.
You return to your big three:
A loyal car
A wife to be proud of
A house with a neat garden.
It makes your suburb proud

Grow old and helpless
Me and me friends will scrawl about wanting to eat from your hand.
Now you’re slower and weaker
A nurse can slap you and brad to her man
As she takes another drag…
Now we pity you, in your prime I despised you.
Hey, I’ll be old too someday.
