within the hour

glass apparatus
this vessel towering
many stories high

through fingers slip
sand abounds

circling drain onward

Quick is the sand
moving

preciseiy
every grain measures
seconds passing

Here

is not a place

but a void

future and past spills
into another
avalanche
cascade
slides down
pyramidal
dune
beneath
altogether

As I asked

I am left
within the hour

To stop time

I must be between now and then
corset pulling tight
the middle
hour glass figure

plug
stopper
of the sands
preventing it's passing

Wise being

the message
lay in this wish and task
