Galaxy Note 5 & Galaxy S6 Concepts Imagine
Description
New Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 concepts imagine Samsung’s rumored 2015 smartphone lineup and bring Galaxy S6 rumors to life.
As we push further and further away from the Galaxy Note 4 release date and closer to Samsung’s usual Galaxy S release window, we’re starting to hear more about Samsung’s plans for 2015. Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors have begun to pick up the pace and we’ve also seen the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 rumor mill spring to life just weeks after the Galaxy Note 4’s arrival.
Samsung still isn’t talking about the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 design rumors have been inconclusive. With rumors swirling, designers have taken it upon themselves to create their own visions of Samsung’s 2015 smartphone lineup with Galaxy S6 concepts and a Galaxy Note 5 concept that bring both unannounced devices to life.
Galaxy S6 rumors have hinted at a departure from last year’s Galaxy S5 and some have interpreted that to mean a shift to new, premium materials. Rumors have been unable to pinpoint Samsung’s plans exactly but many believe that the company will incorporate metal, a material that it used with last year’s Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Alpha designs.
Several new Galaxy S6 concepts have emerged in recent days and they imagine the Galaxy S6 with a metal design. The first, from Bob Freking, showcases a realistic metal design. The device is similar to Samsung’s previous design language though it shuns plastic in favor of aluminum. It comes packed with a number of other rumored Galaxy S6 features including a 20MP camera and Quad HD display but it’s the design that’s the standout here.
Another Galaxy S6 concept from Yanko Design showcases a metal design that is more Sony than Samsung. The device features a simplistic thin metal design that’s complimented by a camera sensor on the back.
It also features an edge-to-edge screen, a large speaker grille and a physical home button for navigation. It’s an interesting take on the Galaxy S6, a device that remains shrouded in mystery as we head deeper into the first quarter.
These Galaxy S6 concepts have been joined by a Galaxy Note 5 concept, courtesy of Concept-Phones and Tim Hausladen. This Galaxy S6 concept showcases a premium metal design that also offers a massive Galaxy Note-sized screen, a rounded home button that looks similar to Apple’s Touch ID, rounded edges, and a large speaker grille on the back.
While Galaxy Note 5 rumors are still extremely scarce, Galaxy S6 rumors are rampant in the beginning stages of the year. We’ve seen Samsung Galaxy S6 rumors point to a number of different details including the Galaxy S6 release date and the Galaxy S6 specs.
Samsung Galaxy S6 specs are said to include a large Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 16MP-20MP rear camera, an upgraded front-facing camera, and three storage options including a 128GB model.
Rumors also point to a Galaxy S6 release in the United States with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon rumored to have plans to carry the Galaxy S6. Both devices are expected to be released sometime this year with a Samsung Galaxy S6 release rumored for the first half of the year.
