I cannot give up
What is mine
Likewise I cannot
Give up what is
Not mine.
What is mine and
What is not mine
That I know not
But I am like the fire
And I cannot give up
My heat and my light.
I am a poet
I cannot give up
My writing poems.
But it is good
To give up attachment
And desire for rewards
For these poems.
Attachment is the only
Obstacle to truth
That is poetic sensibility.
Aim of my life should be
To compose a perfect poem,
And a perfect poem is
Not a matter to give up
Or not to give up.
