I ask my friend to drive me here
I walk inside
So nervous
I called before I came

They said they could check
But they weren't so happy
Oh no. I await bad news
Then she says, cheerfully

Hey! No you only
work tomorrow from
12-3! one shift this week
Here's your first paycheck!
