Futures Rise On Tuesday

Equity index futures rose on Tuesday as tech stocks recovered from massive selloffs on Monday. Investors were responding to data showing increased consumer spending and factory activity, making interest rate hikes more likely. High-growth stocks like Apple ($AAPL@US), Amazon ($AMZN@US), Alphabet ($GOOGL@US), and Microsoft ($MSFT@US) rose an average of half a percent. Facebook ($FB@US) was up 1.5% even after a prolonged outage on Monday that spread across its eponymous platform, Instagram and WhatsApp. Cyclical stocks like Goldman Sachs ($GS@US), Bank of America ($BAC@US), and Morgan Stanley ($MS@US) rose around 1%. 3M rose 0.7%, and Chevron ($CVX@US) ticked up 0.6%.
