Tens of thousands fill the streets of Sanaa holding funeral processions for those killed in recent clashes.

Analysts say civil war is looming in the country over President Ali Abdullah Saleh's refusal to quit power after eight months of popular revolt. He is in neighboring Saudi Arabia recovering from a June assassination attempt that left him with serious burns.
SOUNDBITE: Saker al Wjeeh, Member of Parliament, saying: (Arabic):
"I say to the remnants of the regime and the sons of Ali Abdullah Saleh and his relatives, you may steal a smile from our mouths, you may steal the joy of our hearts, you may give us sadness, but you will not steal and will not break the will of the Yemeni people, and you will end up in the dustbin of history. They are criminals; brought up by Ali Abdullah Saleh on looting, theft and murder. We say to them that retribution is coming, coming, coming,"
On Wednesday a Gulf Cooperation Council representative left Sanaa empty-handed after two days of striving to get a transfer of power pact signed to defuse the succession crisis.
Under the deal brokered by wealthy Gulf neighbors anxious to restore calm in Yemen, Saleh would hand over power in a matter of months. He has backed out of it three times.
With no signs of peace, the violence continues.
