Funerals and protests in Syria
Description
Amateur video out of Syria shows people crowding the streets of Homs.
The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters, shows a funeral service for a man activists says was killed by Syrian security forces.
More footage shows people chanting on the streets saying, "With blood, with soul we defend you Homs."
Video purportedly out of Deraa shows another funeral. Mourners gather for protesters killed on Friday.
Out of Damascus more protests. Activists maintain that Syrian forces are flooding rural areas around Damascus in a bid to end six months of demonstrations against President Basher al-Assad.
Footage out of Homs shows a demonstration against Russia. A sign says 'Justice is on our side. We are protesting peacefully. The Russian government is killing us with its position.'
Russia has rejected Western calls for wider sanctions on Syria over its violent crackdown which the UN says has killed 2,600 people
Assad has reacted to the uprising, inspired by revolts which have toppled three North African leaders this year, with military assaults on protest centers and mass arrests.
Syria has expelled most independent media since the unrest began, making it difficult to verify events on the ground.
