Fuel is coming-Cuomo

Sandy has left millions without power, and more importantly to some... without gas.

From Manhattan to Staten Island, station after station is closed due to a lack of feul, or a lack of power, or both.

And that has customers at the end of their rope.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) RAMON GONZALES, NEW YORKER, SAYING:

"Now I'm here, in front of the pumps and now they're saying they're not giving any gas except for emergency vehicles. I have kids in my car, my wife is in there. I can't even move the car; it's empty. They want me to leave. Where am I supposed to go? Another eight hour line?"

But good news is on the way.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) NEW YORK GOVERNOR ANDREW CUOMO, SAYING :

"We did have a shortage in fuel delivery because the tankers were not delivering because the tankers were held in the harbor. That situation has been remedied. Gas stations will be getting fuel. There will be a slight reduction in the amount of fuel they're getting because the entire delivery system isn't up. Some places don't have power, etc. But fuel is on its way. You don't have to panic. We don't need the anxiety. We don't need the lines. Be prudent. But fuel is on the way."

Eight million gallons of fuel have been delivered since the New York Harbor reopened on Friday ... another 28 million gallons will arrive this weekend.
