From Quito: Santiago Bucaram

In today's programme, we take a break from the immediate political situation here in Ecuador, and look at an innovative project to protect some of the most endangered species, especially sharks, in the seas north of the Galapagos Islands. It is called 'Migravia', or Galapagos-Cocos Swim-way, and to explain this to us, we are very pleased to have with us Santiago Bucaram. He's one of the main promoters of this initiative and he is and economist specializing in natural resources, based at the ESPOL Polytechnic on the Ecuadorean coast.
