The Yasuni ITT initiative is one of the most audacious attempts to confront climate change anywhere this century in which Ecuador led the world. The proposal was to lead Ecuador’s largest
oil reserves in the ground beneath the mega diverse Yasuni National Park in the Amazon region, in exchange for international compensation. On this episode Carlos Larrea head of environmental studies in the Andina University in Quito, joined us to talk about this initiative.
