ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: Hundreds of worshippers gathered at Tripoli's Martyrs Square on Friday to take part in prayers ahead of planned central celebrations in Tripoli later in the day.
The Imam leading the prayers spoke about the oppression that Libyans had lived under during the rule of former leader Muammar Gaddafi, and called for forgiveness between countrymen in order to move the country forward.
The Imam also called for the liberation of Palestine and Afghanistan during prayers.
Celebrations are planned in the capital to mark a week since the death of Gaddafi, who was found in Sirte hours after the town was declared liberated by the National Transitional Council (NTC).
NATO confirmed on Friday it would end its Libyan mission next week, seven months after launching air and sea operations that helped bring the overthrow and death of Gaddafi.
Ambassadors from the 28 NATO states meeting in Brussels formalized a preliminary decision reached a week ago to end the mission that NATO took over on March 31 on Oct. 31.
