French minister "considered resignation" over Roma

France's foreign minister Bernard Kouchner has said he thought of resigning over controversial measures introduced to deport thousands of Roma gypsies. Kouchner, a high-profile member of president Nicolas Sarkozy's cabinet, is the latest to speak out on an issue which has drawn criticism from the UN, religious leaders, and governments across Europe.
