Description

She haunts the twilight of my dreams
And the waking hour
Upon her brow starlight gleams
And in her voice is power

Tall and slender, pale and fair
Brightly flows her flaxen hair
Clad in purest white shimmering
Her eyes brightly glistening

She took my hand and from the shadows brought
Me into the light for which I sought
And set me down in fields below
The rising of the sun's warm glow

And there we walked for many days
By moonlight, and sun's golden rays
And the days like birds took flight
From winter cold to springtime bright

Songs we sang, and tales we told
Of many things both new and old
And danced we did amidst wooded halls
And flew down many waterfalls

Wake me not from this dream
For shadows is all that awaits my waking
And the sun’s golden gleam
Will be shrouded at dawn’s breaking
By the fear that in my heart dwells
Till again I can walk with the lady bright
The shadow over me will fall
And my heart will yearn for blessed night
When my lady will rise slender, fair and tall
