`


This young sad poet
t o b e,
brooding over things
that tomorrow might not bring.
Other poets
are dying around him;
(they are flesh-bound too!)

exiting without fanfare and glory,
whose poems
shall collect dust
in lonely shelves
of musty halls
within greying walls
where no sun shines
on semi-precious gems of long ago -
(is this where he wants to be) too?

He broods on;
Taking with him his private agonies;
chasing after personal demons,
being pursued by them in turn....
to be
this sad young Poet.
